Officials from Pronet-North, Wa led by the Executive Director, Mr Martin Dery visited the Upper West Regional minister at his office on Tuesday 13th June 2023.
Mr. Dery informed the minister about the rollout of a project aimed at encouraging women to cultivate the culture of saving money with formal Financial Institutions.
In this regard, Pronet-North is targeting 420 women groups in three regions; Upper West, Upper East, and North East Regions.
For Upper West Region, 134 women’s groups are the target.
The project is a Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning/World Bank-supported project.
It was revealed that Pronet-North is involved in the management and oversight of Integrated Community Development Projects: including, Ghana Complementary Basic Education Programme; Greater Rural Opportunities for Women (Agribusiness) Project; Tackling Education Needs Inclusively (girls education) Project, and Climate Resilient Agriculture and Farming Systems Project.
The organization also plays facilitative supervision for Participatory Hygiene and Sanitation Transformation and rooted advocacy for the promotion of Girl Centered Basic Education.
The Regional minister Dr Bin Salih Hafiz commend Pronet-North for its contribution to the development effects of the Upper West Region.
