Member of Parliament for Komenda Edna Eguafo Abirem, Samuel Atta Mills has commended the rank and file of the National Democratic Congress for their support in winning the Assin North by-election.
According to the brother of late President Professor John Evans Atta Mills, the win of the NDC indicates victory awaits the party come December 2024.
His full post below:
I have been overwhelmed by the love and comadreship shown towards my good brother, Hon. James Gyakye Quayson, from the period of his unjustifiable removal from parliament through to his re-election during 27th June, 2023 by-election to represent the good people of Assin North constituency in the house of parliament.
I wish to thank each and everyone for their support, resources, prayers and encouragement they provided in prosecuting this agenda. This win is not just for Hon. Gyakye Quayson but a win for freedom and justice.
The Nation Democratic Congress as a family needs to be commended in the way it executed this win for justice. I believe with the same energy and focus, we will come out victorious during the 2024 general and parliamentary elections.
Let me salute the gallant men and women of Assin North constituency who were able to stand against the inducement and lies of the NPP and vote for the right person. They have done good to their conscience. The love they have shown my brother would not be taken for granted.
As we celebrate this victory, let me take the opportunity to wish all my moslem constituents a happy Eid ul Adha.. May Allah answer all their prayers.
