Former deputy minister of communications has urged vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to quit squandering Ghanaians’ valuable time by making empty promises to revive the country’s faltering economy.
On Tuesday, August 8, Mr. Kwakye Ofosu said on social media that the Vice President’s track record leading the Government’s Economic Management Team is extremely disastrous and that he cannot be trusted.
Dr. Bawumia, he said, cannot be taken seriously by Ghanaians.
“As Chair of the Economic Management Team, his results (are): bankruptcy, a collapsed currency, hyperinflation, biggest ever public debt, debt default, worst credit ratings, widening budget deficits, unprecedented hardships and many more.” “He should stop wasting our time.”
Kwakye Ofosu criticized the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration for its management of the Ghanaian economy in a linked tweet from yesterday.
According to Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Ghanaian people have been the victims of economic crimes committed by the present government.
He claimed that the Bank of Ghana’s ongoing loan to the government, which is undermining the bank’s operations, is the most recent of these crimes.
He claims that if this criminality is not stopped, it would have disastrous effects on the economy of the nation.
“Akufo-Addo and Bawumia have committed economic atrocities, the latest being forcing the Bank of Ghana to lend tens of billions of Ghana cedis to government against the law, and leading to the former’s insolvency.”
Felix Kwakye Ofosu thus described the Akufo-Addo administration as “the worst government ever!”
