Former Black Stars player Bernard Mensah scored his first career hat-trick when his outfit Al Tai succumbed to a 4-3 defeat in the Saudi Pro League.
Mensah was in superb form despite his side defeat against Al Ettifaq in the top-flight.
The Ghana international carried Al Tai on his shoulders as he bagged a hat-trick that nearly earned a point for his club.
Al Ettifaq shot into the lead through Georginio Wijnaldum but the Ghanaian midfielder scored twice in the 10th and 36th minute to put his side in the lead.
French forward Moussa Dembele levelled the scores for Ettifaq four minutes to recess as the first half ended 2-2.
Mensah sealed a hat-trick in the second half after hitting the back of the net again to restore Al Tai’s lead
But Wijnaldum and Al Ghamdi scored late to hand Ettifaq victory in the clash.
The Ghanaian midfielder took home the match ball for his hat-trick feat despite Al Tai’s defeat in the game.
