The Police Leadership has met the presidential election committee, representatives of presidential hopefuls of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and representatives of the Electoral Commission at the police headquarters ahead of Saturday, November 4, 2023 primaries in the Greater Accra region.
The party through primaries will elect a presidential candidate for the 2024 general elections.
The Presidential Elections Committee of the NPP earlier stated that the election will take place at all the 276 constituencies across the country and the Party Headquarters, Asylum Down, Accra.
The Electoral Commission (EC) shall supervise the conduct of the elections and shall have the full responsibility of ensuring a transparent, free and fair election.
Per Bryt FM’s research, the aspirant race is between Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the current Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and the Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency, Hon Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.
