A suicide note has been found at Koforidua Asokore Dabiasem, in New Juaben North Municipality in the Eastern Region where a young man, believed to practice “Sakawa” was discovered dead by apparent suicide.
The incident, which transpired on November 8, 2023, has left the community in shock.
At the scene of this tragic event, a suicide note was discovered, shedding light on the young man’s inner turmoil. The note read, “Oh God, please forgive me! If found, please sell my house property. Please help my mother, Martha Yaa Baby. RIP to my soul.”
The distressing discovery occurred at approximately 10:00 AM when residents of Dabiasem stumbled upon the lifeless body of Yaw Christopher, who was affectionately known as Chris in his own built apartment.
He was found in his own room, having taken his own life by hanging.
This grim incident has sent shockwaves through the close-knit community.
According to accounts from local residents, Yaw Christopher had been present in his room throughout the previous afternoon, displaying no outward signs of depression or distress.
This unexpected tragedy has left the community in disbelief.
Following the discovery of Yaw Christopher’s lifeless body, it was transported to St. Joseph’s Mortuary in Effiduase for a thorough examination and post-mortem procedures.
The Effiduase District Police Command has taken charge of the investigation into the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking loss.
