In order for the ruling New Patriotic Party to win the 2024 elections, former NDC Central Regional Chairman Bernard Allotey Jacobs has pleaded with them to use Kennedy Agyapong, the Assin Central Member of Parliament.
Allotey Jacobs stated on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” broadcast on Wednesday morning that Kennedy Agyapong is crucial to the New Patriotic Party’s win and shouldn’t be ignored by the organization.
On Saturday, November 4, during their party’s presidential elections, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Hon. Kennedy Agyapong engaged in a heated struggle in which the former demonstrated his mettle.
Despite Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s victory, Ken had a strong showing, finishing second among the four candidates that ran for office with 71,996 votes.
Allotey Jacobs highlighted the special position that Ken plays in the NPP’s effort to hold onto power, if you say you want to break the eight, you will need him to break the eight”.
That Kennedy Agyapong had promised to back Dr. Bawumia at the party’s victory rally at the Accra Sports Stadium, however, thrilled him.
