Drivers and some traders in Kumasi the Ashanti regional capital, has stated that it would be difficult for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to win power a 3rd successive term -“break the 8′, come December 2024 with President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as it flagbearer.
They explained that Dr Bawumia lacks credibility and his image only hard-core NPP members would vote for Dr Bawumia and that NPP cannot break the 8 as they have actually wished for
However The New Patriotic Party( NPP) Former Women Organiser for the Kwabre East Constituency in the Ashanti region, Madam Afia Sarpong, has affirmed that breaking the eight year gene by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is possible but requires unity, peace and hard- work among all party members.
According to her, the only way to retain power and beat the NDC for the third time in a roll during the 2024 general elections is to present a united front irrespective of the outcome of their internal polls and urged everyone to join the government to bring the challenging economy back on track.
