Vice President Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia welcomed to the Jubilee House, Ms Emma Theofelus, the Deputy Minister for Information, Communication & Technology of Namibia on Monday afternoon.
Their discussion centred on Ghana’s digitalization drive and its impact on the transformation of our country.
While commending Ghana on strides made, particularly, in issuing digital national identity card (Ghanacard), digital address system, mobile money interoperability, delivery of government services online, among others, Ms Emma Theofulus expressed Namibia’s desire to study Ghana’s blueprint.
Ms. Emma Theofulus also commended Ghana’s globally acclaimed Year of Return, and December’s Beyond the Return tourism initiatives, stating that Namibia has also launched a similar programme dubbed, “November in Namibia”, to boost tourism.
