First Vice Chairman for the New Patriotic Party in Lower West Akim Constituency who is currently Government Appointee to the West Akim Municipal Assembly has been elected as Presiding Member.
He got 47 YES Vote from the 48 Assembly Members who were sworn into Office on 12th February 2024 after inauguration.
Out of the 48 Assembly Members, 33 were elected and 15 were appointed by the government.
Mr. David Apetse takes over from Honourable James Appietu, was born on 2nd of January 1966 at Asamankese.
In the year 2011 to 2014, he attended Ghana Institute of management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and gained his first MBA in Human Resource Management after attending University of Ghana, legon in the year 2004 to 2007 and gained a B.A. Social Work with Political Science.
In the year 2007, he offered National Disaster Management organization Course with a certificate in Disaster Management.
Between 1998 to 2014, he served as Constituency Youth Organizer in Lower West Akim Constituency and through his hard work, he became Special Aid to former MP, Honourable Gifty Klenam.
Mr. Kwashie Apetsi also served as Constituency Organizer from 2014 to 2022 before he was given another chance to serve as First Vice Chairman for the Party in 2022 upto date.
As a Government Appointee to the Assembly in 2020, Mr. Apetsi was Chairman of the Justice and Security Committee and later became Chairman for Social Services Committee until his elevation as Presiding Member for the Assembly.
Moreover, Mr. is currently Eastern Regional Director of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority.
