Minister for Works and Housing, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has charged the various agencies and departments under the ministry to collaborate effectively at all times to achieve desirable results as expected.
The Ofoase Ayirebi lawmaker has also assured them of his readiness to liase with them during his tenure as the sector minister.
Speaking to the media at the end of a two-day retreat for Heads of the various agencies and departments in Koforidua, the Spokesperson for the ministry, Manasseh Attah Boahene, indicated the engagement was to afford the new sector minister to abreast himself with what the various agencies and departments are doing and also challenges impeding their work.
He emphasized that, the minister has three specific mandate as directed by President Akufo-Addo, that is; dealing with drainage system challenges, focusing on rural housing projects as well as finding solution to the current Saglemi Housing project which has been stalled for some years now.
“The President has tasked the minister to within the next 10 months find ways of ensuring the Saglemi Housing Project is completed as he considers value for money” Mr. Boahene added.
