Chief Executive Officer of the National Lotteries Authority (NLA), Sammy Awuku, has reflected Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s humble beginnings, citing his experiences working as a taxi driver and cleaning toilets to support himself while studying abroad.
According to him, these early challenges have given Dr. Bawumia a deep understanding of the struggles faced by young people, motivating his bid for the presidency.
Sammy Awuku who is also Parliamentary candidate for the rulling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Akuapem North believes Dr. Bawumia’s background and dedication to leveraging opportunities in the digital economy make him well-positioned to shape a promising future for the youth.
“Seeing him gentle today, he has been a taxi driver before, clean toilets before . But because he believes that everyone has opportunity to rise he believes in possibilities .Dr.Bawumia has really gone through a lot like you so wants to become president to also help you.
He said he want to become president to help shape the future of the youth” Sammy Awuku stated
He said this Monday during a Youth Connect forum held at the Center of National Culture in Koforidua.
The event was part of Dr. Bawumia’s tour of the Eastern Region, where he is engaging with young people and discussing their aspirations.
