In a bid to ramp up preparations for the forthcoming December polls, the Regional Campaign Coordinating Team for the Ahafo Region has officially inaugurated the Constituency Campaign Coordinating Team for Tano North on Sunday.
The ceremony, graced by prominent figures including Honorable George Yaw Boakye the Regional Minister for Ahafo Region, Mr. Owusu Sekyere Chairman of the party in the Region, Nana Antwi the Regional Secretary, Adwoa Fosua the Women’s Organizer, Hon Ernest Kwateng Municipal Chief Executive for Tano North, Constituency executives led by Kakari Apau and the Parliamentary Candidate, Dr. Gideon Boako, among other key party figures, marked a pivotal moment in the region’s electoral strategy.
The newly appointed campaign team is tasked with coordinating, organizing, and spearheading the party’s campaign efforts in the Tano North constituency, laying the groundwork for a competitive bid in the 2024 elections.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Owusu Sekyere, Ahafo Regional Chairman, emphasized the importance of unity within the party and urged members to shun voter apathy, rallying them to strive for increased voter turnout across all constituencies in the region.
Mr. George Yaw Boakye, the Ahafo Regional Minister, in his remarks urged supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to remain steadfast in their commitment to promoting the government’s achievements, despite negative remarks from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mr Boakye emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive outlook in the face of opposition criticism. He encouraged supporters not to be deterred by disparaging comments but instead to redouble their efforts in amplifying the commendable initiatives and policies implemented by the government.
Dr. Gideon Boako, the parliamentary candidate for Tano North and spokesperson to the Vice President, echoed these sentiments in his speech, rallying party supporters to exert maximum effort, assuring them that their hard work would be duly recognized and rewarded in the future, adding that each supporter holds an equal stake in the party’s success.
He expressed unwavering commitment to leveraging resources and collaborative efforts to drive voter mobilization initiatives. He reaffirmed his dedication to working tirelessly alongside party members to amplify voter turnout and secure an overwhelming mandate for the NPP in the upcoming elections.
