Minister for Information, Honourable Fatimatu Abubakar at the Minister’s Press Briefing on Wednesday launched the International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI).
Ghana has won the bid to host the global celebration of the IDUAI in Accra from October 1-2 2024, under the theme: “Mainstreaming Access to Information and Participation Across the Public Sector”.
The Minister noted that the recognition is an indication of Ghana’s progress in promoting its right to information.
Later in the day, Honourable Abubakar met the management of Kingdom FM where engagement focused on exploring opportunities for growth and development of the media organization.
They also discussed possible collaboration with the Ministry to help advance development of the media as well as government’s agenda.
