According to President Akufo-Addo, 8th August 2024 marked a significant milestone in our quest to transform Ghana’s road infrastructure, as he cut the sod for the dualisation of the Adenta-Dodowa Road.
The vital project will enhance connectivity between our capital, Accra, and the Eastern and Volta regions, benefiting countless Ghanaians.
The dualisation of this road is part of government comprehensive strategy to improve the main trunk roads across the country, including other key routes such as the Accra-Kumasi Highway and the Tema-Aflao Road. Our efforts are focused on reducing travel times, lowering vehicle operating costs, and significantly improving road safety.
“Since January 2017, our government has made impressive strides in developing our road network, completing 12,830 kilometers of roads nationwide. Notable projects include the iconic four-tier Pokuase Interchange, the Tema Motorway Interchange, and the dualisation of various roads in Greater Accra”.
“Ongoing projects like the Achimota-Ofankor Road expansion and the construction of the Dome-Kitase Road further demonstrate our commitment to infrastructure development. These efforts reflect the Akufo-Addo/Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia Government’s dedication to fostering connectivity, enhancing economic growth, and ensuring the safety and well-being of every Ghanaian” President Akufo-Addo stated.
