‘Let’s Go There’, a charity organization based in Asamankese, in the Eastern Region, has supported a needy mother whose child was in critical condition at the Eastern Regional Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The organization donated an amount of GH¢55,000 as an initial payment to facilitate the operation and to support the needy mother in paying off the medical bills towards saving the life of the child, with a commitment to pay all bills thereafter.
Chairman of ‘Let’s Go There’, Mr. Joseph Ayeh Kweku, explained that the organization, which was formed by Asamankese traders, aims to support people, particularly the less privileged, who are in crucial situations.
Mr. Ayeh Joseph pledged that they are committed to giving back to the community and restoring courage to the hopeless, adding that the organization has helped many people in the country.
He called on institutions, individuals, donors and philanthropists to join hands with the association to create an enabling environment for the needy.
Madam Priscilla Amani Ampong, the mother of the admitted child, thanked management of the organization for reaching out to the child in an emergency situation and further pleaded with philanthropists to help save the life of the child.
The child was transferred from Kwahu Government Hospital to the Eastern Regional Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for treatment and is currently battling with life with difficulty breathing.
