President of the Republic, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has officially commissioned the newly constructed School Junction – Borteyman – Tema Motorway Road in Borteyman, Greater Accra Region.
The newly completed 5.8-kilometer dual carriageway serves as a vital link for surrounding communities, significantly improving access to key destinations and ensuring the smoother movement of people and goods.
Before its conception, commuters from Tema to Borteyman, School Junction, Ashale Botwe, Adentan, and nearby areas faced numerous challenges.
This was further worsened during the rainy season, where sections of the road became impassable, thereby complicating the journey for road users.
The construction of this road has incorporated several key features to enhance safety and convenience for all users.
These include service lanes on both sides, a 1.60-kilometer access road to the newly built Borteyman Sports Complex, slip roads connecting to the Tema Motorway, walkways, cycling lanes, lay-bys, and streetlights.
The School Junction – Borteyman – Tema Motorway Road is yet another significant addition to the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration’s impressive portfolio of infrastructure projects in the roads and highways sector, and will undoubtedly improve accessibility, reduce traffic congestion, and contribute to the overall development and growth of our nation.
