Roads and Highways minister Francis Asenso-Boakye received a delegation from the leadership of the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications at my office, led by Ing. Dr. Kenneth Ashigbey, Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber, and Ing. Patricia Obo-Nai, Chief Executive Officer of Telecel Ghana, Mr. Leo Skarlatos, Acting Chief Executive Officer of AT, and Nana Kofi Asare, General Manager, Legal & Regulatory Affairs at Scancom (MTN Ghana).
Their discussions centered on deepening collaboration between the Ministry of Roads and Highways and telecommunications providers to address challenges related to telecom infrastructure during road construction projects.
The minister reaffirmed the government’s strong commitment to working closely with the telecommunications service providers, ensuring that telecom infrastructure is effectively protected and seamlessly integrated into ongoing and future road developments.
“This is in line with our broader agenda to enhance national connectivity and drive digital transformation across the country” he added.
