The Eastern Regional Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has kicked off a series of community engagement activities as part of its campaign efforts ahead of the December 7, 2024, general elections.
The campaign began on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, in the Nkawkaw Constituency.
Led by the Eastern Regional Chairman, Dr. Mark-Oliver Kevor, the NDC executives visited six communities to engage with residents and mobilize support for the party’s presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, and Nkawkaw parliamentary candidate, Frederick Somuah Obeng.
During the engagements, the team outlined key policies of the NDC’s proposed government, set to take effect in January 2025 if the party wins. They also discussed Nkawkaw-specific development plans, which were well-received by residents.
Dr. Kevor was joined by several regional executives, including the Regional Secretary, two Regional Vice Chairmen, the Regional Organizer, the Deputy Regional Treasurer, and the Regional Zongo Caucus Coordinator, among others.
The campaign tour continued on Thursday, September 26, in the Abetifi and Mpraeso constituencies, marking the end of Phase 1 of the NDC’s regional campaign.
The second phase is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 30, 2024.
