The Interparty and Civil Society Organisations (CSO) Directorate in the Eastern Region has donated a motorbike to the Asene -Manso -Akroso Constituency as part of an effort to enhance the National Democratic Congress (NDC) campaign.
This donation is part of a larger initiative that will see ten motorbikes distributed to some targeted constituencies, including Kade, Akuapem North, New Juaben North, and New Juaben South, aimed at strengthening the NDC’s grassroots efforts to maximize votes for the party’s presidential candidate, John Mahama, and the parliamentary candidates.
“We are targeting to support about 10 constituencies to boost their campaign and maximize votes,” said Kwaku Boateng, the Eastern Regional Director of Interparty and Civil Society Organizations.
The formation of the Interparty and Civil Society Organisations Directorate aligns with the NDC’s philosophy of social democracy, focusing on inclusivity and collaboration with various political and civil groups.
The goal of this office is to foster better communication and partnership between political parties and civil society organizations in Ghana, and other groups.
In recent months, the Eastern Regional Directorate has intensified engagements with smallholder farmers, cocoa farmers, miners, religious bodies, artisans, and businesses, explaining NDC’s policies and listening to their challenges.
These engagements provide an avenue for the NDC to understand the difficulties faced by these groups and work towards addressing them.
Kwaku Boateng, popularly known as Kade Boateng, emphasized that the engagements have been fruitful and assured that the NDC will continue its interactions to resolve the issues affecting various sectors.
