The youth of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have gone berserk about their flagbearer John Dramani Mahama’s recent acquaintance with Rev. Owusu Bempah.
Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah, the founder and head of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, was a prominent member of the clergy present and conducted the prayers for the NDC flagbearer.
Not only did this event cause controversy—especially since Rev.Owusu-Bempah has been a vocal opponent of the former president—but there was also a strong backlash against Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwa-Yiadom, aka “Prophet One,” who was noticeably absent from the event.
On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, in Accra, John Dramani Mahama, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, met with a group of clergy members. During their meeting, the men of God prayed for him.

Not only did this event cause controversy—especially since Rev. Owusu-Bempah has been a vocal opponent of the former president—but there was also a strong backlash against Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwa-Yiadom, aka “Prophet One,” who was noticeably absent from the event.
A pro-NDC group called “NDC Ashanti Youth for Mahama”, in a statement, said; “We express our disappointment at the fact that Rev. Owusu-Bempah, upon all that he did against John Mahama would be entertained to the point of playing such a big role at the gathering”.
“Indeed, his presence at the event was even needless as Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwa-Yiadom, popularly known as Opambour had already offered prayers for our Flagbearer. Our point is simple. We didn’t need Apostle Owusu-Bempah since Opambour had already done what he did for our Flagbearer at the gathering.”
The group admonished their party leadership to “cut all ties with Apostle Owusu-Bempah since he is not genuinely for us”.
