Residents of Adukrom VRA in the Eastern Region have voiced their discontent and disappointment over the community’s lack of progress and development, despite numerous appeals to authorities.
They are, therefore, ready to over their votes to the ruling NPP or any Political party that intervene in their call for their share of the national cake.
During a visit by Dadi fm/Bryt TV news in the Okere constituency, concerned residents highlighted the dire need for improvement in various spheres of their livelihoods, including infrastructure, healthcare, and education and others.
They slammed the Member of Parliament, Daniel Kwaku Botwe, the DCE Mr Daniel Nana Addo Kenneth and President Akufo-Addo for failing to address the community’s needs despite several appeal.
They lamented the poor state of their toilet facilities, which has led to defecating in the bush.
According to aggrieved residenta, there is a newly built ultra-modern toilet facility but has been closed since its completion.
Residents, however, expressed their concerns about the community’s dwindling trade and commerce, inadequate healthcare services, and poor educational system, indicating the Bethel Presbyterian school has been left in a bad state posing students and teachers in danger.
They called for immediate attention to be paid to these issues, including the construction of a new school for them as well as to renovate the existing one.
They also urged the various political parties, especially the NPP and NDC to take their concerns seriously and work towards improving the lives of Adukrom VRA residents or face their wrath in the December general elections.
Nana Kwaku Attiemo Asante Daniel Sarkodie, the Kyidomhene representative of Adukrom VRA narrated several letters have been sent to the District Assemby but nothing has been done about it and therefore entreated the MP and DCE to come to their aid.
