The 79th Remembrance Day ceremony, observed on Monday, November 11th, 2024, at the Jubilee Park in Koforidua, provided an opportunity to reflect on the end of hostilities in the World Wars and honor those variant warriors who lost their lives during the war.
Held in accordance with the historic armistice signed on November 11th, 1918, at 11:00 AM, the event was marked by solemn rituals, including wreath-laying, flag-raising, the sounding of a siren, and the observance of the Last Post.
The event which was led by the Hon. Eastern Regional Minister, Seth Kwame Acheampong, had on parade Seven (7) Contingents, Two (2) from Ghana Army, a Contingent each from the Ghana Police Service, the Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service, the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority and the Ghana Immigration Service.
