Ghanaians especially the youth have been advised against engaging themselves in electoral violence before, during and after the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections.
They have also been urged to master courage and resist any influence from political figures who may want them to do anything contrary to the rules and regulations surrounding the exercise.
Emmanuel Asare, President of Bibia Beye Fine (BBF) group, disclosed this to Bryt fm’s Kwabena Nyarko Abronoma during a peace walk on Saturday in Koforidua.
He stated that previous elections have one way or the other experienced series of electoral violence which does not give out the hood name Ghana has as a country of peace in Africa.
However, he was optimistic this year’s elections would be violent free due to his outfit’s commitment to preach peace for the public to know the dying effect of election violence.
Some of the youth who participated in the peace walk also used the opportunity to appeal to their colleagues not to allow themselves to be used by politicians but rather seek for policies that can have positive reflection on their lives.
The peace walk was made up of BBF, Star Ghana Foundation, DMAC Foundation, NYA, New Juaben South Youth Parliament and others who have common idea of developing and empowering the youth.
