The NDC Parliamentary Candidate for New Juaben North Constituency in the Eastern region Samuel Adongo has urged the election security taskforce of the Ghana Police Service in charge of protecting and policing the ballot boxes to discharge their duty independently without any party influence.
According to Samuel Adongo, the police should protect the ballot boxes in order to ensure that the outcome of the elections reflect the true will of the people.
This was said at the time the parliamentary candidate was expressing his satisfaction to the turn out of event in the just ended special voting in the New Juaben North Constituency.
Samuel Adongo further expressed optimism that if the election continues in free fair and transparent manner on December 7th he will emerge victorious as the MP elect for New Juaben North Constituency.
The Electoral Officer in charge of New Juaben North declined to speak with the media on camera or audio even though she believes the process was free and fair.
