One of the three individuals who sustained gunshot wounds during the violent incident at the Abuakwa North Electoral Commission office has been discharged from the hospital.
Another victim has been transferred to the Eastern Regional hospital for further treatment.
The shooting occurred when armed men, alleged to be National Security operatives, opened fire after supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) attempted to intercept a taxi reportedly transporting thumbprinted ballot papers into the Electoral Commission premises.
The incident has sparked anger among NDC supporters, who have mobilized at the EC office, vowing to resist any attempts to manipulate the electoral process.
The youth claim that their parliamentary candidate, Charles Yeboah, has won the seat but allege that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is attempting to rig the election.
