The female caucus of the NDC MPs in Parliament visited the Vice President Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang last week.
The Vice President congratulated them on their success in the elections and urged them to make sure the NDC has more women in Parliament in the near future despite increasing their numbers.
They discussed the need for mentorship and mutual support as they embark on their tenure in office and also encouraged them to be independent and focus on what they can do well for their constituencies and for the country.
The MPs expressed their happiness at this gesture and indicated their willingness to work with President Mahama and Prof Opoku Agyemang in building the Ghana we all want.
