Tribute to the 28th February Crossroad Shooting Incident
In remembrance of the February 28, 1948, shooting of three ex-servicemen, the Communications Subcommittee of the NCPC will roll out an awareness campaign aimed at educating the public about the historical significance of the event. This initiative will include the dissemination of historical content across television, radio, and social media platforms.
Additionally, a special X-space conversation will be hosted on the theme “Changing Face of Civil Protests in Ghana: Lessons from the Past and Present.” The discussion aims to foster a deeper understanding of Ghana’s history of civic activism.
The February 28 Wreath-Laying Ceremony will take place at the Nationalism Park at 8 a.m., with the event set to be broadcast live and streamed across multiple platforms. The NCPC encourages media outlets, bloggers, and the general public to participate by sharing and engaging with content related to the anniversary.
The committee has assured Ghanaians of further updates regarding the remaining activities as the celebration progresses.
