Clerk to Parliament, Mr. Ebenezer Ahumah Djietror, has officially opened a four-day capacity-building training for staff of the Department of Public Engagement, aligned with Goal 5 of Parliament’s strategic plan to enhance staff productivity and capacity.
Organised by the Parliamentary Training Institute (PTI), the programme aims to enhance staff skills in communicating parliamentary activities and strengthening citizen engagement efforts.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Djietror underscored the critical role of effective communication in shaping Parliament’s image and credibility. He urged participants to approach their work with intentionality and a strong sense of responsibility.
Participants will be trained in strategic outreach initiatives, effective internal communication, Affirmative Action and Gender Equity provisions, digital communication, and staff performance evaluation, among other key areas.
Present at the opening were Deputy Chair in charge of operations of the National Commission for Civic Education ( NCCE)- Mr. Samuel Akuamoah, Director of PTI, Dr. Ernest Darfuour, and other officials of the Parliamentary Service.
