On Thursday morning, thousands of young people gathered at Revolution Square in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, in a solidarity demonstration for President Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
Similar demonstrations are also taking place in The Gambia, Kenya, New York, Canada, Paris, and many other locations in support of Traoré.
Two weeks ago, the United States accused President Captain Ibrahim Traoré of using Burkina Faso’s gold to protect himself and his regime.
Since then, millions of Africans, both at home and abroad, have voiced their support for Captain Ibrahim Traoré online. They are sending a strong message to the West: the same West that played a role in the deaths of Gaddafi, Sankara, and Lumumba—but with Captain Ibrahim Traoré, this will be their final stop.
