The Eastern Region has recorded seven (7) new confirmed cases of coronavirus increasing the total number of cases in the region to 94.
The region recorded the biggest spike of cases with 30 confirmed cases within three days between April 30th, 2020, and May 2, 2020.
The latest update provided by the Ghana Health Service on May 4, 2020, indicates an increase in 7 cases.
Details of the new cases have not been provided but already, Fanteakwa North, Denkyembour, Akuapem North, Lower Manya Krobo, Nsawam, and Asuogyaman Districts have all recorded cases of COVID-19.
It is not clear if the newly recorded cases are from these districts where samples of contact traced persons were taken for testing.
The National tally has surged to 2,719 from 2169.
Death toll to remains 18 but recoveries have increased from 229 to 294.
