Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration hosted officials of the US Embassy in Ghana led by Acting Ambassador Rolf A. Olson.
The minister convened the meeting to hold formal discussions on reports of a potential visa ban Ghana might be facing following a recent Washington Post publication on leaked memos.
The talks which took place in a cordial and transparent atmosphere was most useful, constructive and hopeful.
“We are committed to continuous positive diplomatic engagements at all levels to ensure that Ghana is removed from that category of 36 countries in the shortest time possible.
I am confident we shall be successful in the best interest of the admirable longstanding and inseparable bilateral relations between our two countries”, Hon Ablakwa stated.
