The Member of Parliament for Salaga-South Constituency, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has donated GH¢10,000 to Salaga T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School to support the school’s participation in this year’s National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) in Accra.
The cheque was presented on behalf of the MP by the NDC Constituency Chairman for Salaga-South, Mr. Haruna Abdul Aziz, popularly known as Chairman Abotsi.
The donation was in response to a formal request from the school seeking financial assistance to enable its contingent to participate in the prestigious national competition.
In a message accompanying the donation, Hon. Hajia Zuwera congratulated the students, teachers, and management of the school for their resilience and hard work in qualifying for the NSMQ for the second consecutive time.
She commended the school for making the Salaga-South Constituency proud and wished the team success as they represent the constituency on the national stage.
The MP reaffirmed her commitment to supporting education, which she described as one of her key priorities, assuring constituents that she will continue to support initiatives aimed at promoting quality education and creating better opportunities for young people in the municipality.
Receiving the cheque on behalf of the Headmaster, Mr. Mohammed Amidu, Assistant Headmaster in charge of Administration, expressed gratitude to the MP for her timely support and pledged that the school would make the constituency proud.
