Regina Bempong, a former New Juaben South Constituency Women’s Organiser, has officially declared her intention to contest the position of Eastern Regional Women’s Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), outlining an agenda focused on strengthening the party’s women’s wing ahead of the 2028 general elections.
With years of experience in grassroots mobilisation and party organisation, Madam Bempong says she is committed to uniting, empowering and repositioning women across the Eastern Region to play a more active role in the party’s quest to return to power.
Speaking to Bryt FM News, she said her leadership would prioritise effective grassroots mobilisation, capacity building and increased participation of women in the party’s activities at all levels.
According to her, women remain the backbone of the NPP and must be empowered with the necessary resources and opportunities to contribute meaningfully to the party’s growth and electoral success.
“I am ready to work with every woman in the Eastern Region, irrespective of constituency or background, to build a stronger and more united women’s wing that will deliver victory for the NPP in the 2028 general elections,” she said.
Madam Bempong noted that her experience as the New Juaben South Constituency Women’s Organiser has equipped her with the leadership skills and practical knowledge needed to serve effectively at the regional level.
She pledged to introduce programmes that would enhance the welfare of women, strengthen grassroots structures, mentor young female party activists and promote greater involvement of women in decision-making within the party.
The aspiring Regional Women’s Organiser further called on delegates to support her vision, assuring them of transparent, inclusive and results-oriented leadership.
The NPP’s Regional Executive Elections form part of the party’s nationwide reorganisation exercise aimed at rebuilding its structures and positioning itself for the 2028 general elections. Delegates across the Eastern Region are expected to elect new regional executives during the Regional Delegates Conference scheduled for August 15 and 16, 2026.
