Eastern Region – Concerned Youth of Akuapem North has disassociated itself from a press release circulating on social media on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
According to the group’s counter press release, the earlier communique is fake and that it must be treated with no seriousness.
The ‘fake’ release accused party executives of the ruling NDC government of selling forms of the National Apprenticeship Program instead of it being offered free.

Concerned Youth of Akuapem North Disassociate Ourselves from Fake Press Release Circulating on Social Media
The leadership of the Concerned Youth of Akuapem North Constituency has become aware of a press release circulating on various social media platforms, alleging misconduct involving the National Apprenticeship Program and claiming to come from our group.
We wish to strongly disassociate ourselves from that publication. The said release was not authored, approved, or endorsed by the Concerned Youth of Akuapem North Constituency. We have no knowledge of its origin, and those behind it did not consult or seek permission from the leadership of this group.
We urge the general public, stakeholders, and the media to treat the circulating statement with the contempt it deserves, as it does not represent our views or position on the matter.
As a responsible youth group, we remain committed to promoting transparency, unity, and development in Akuapem North. We call on all who wish to engage with us to do so through the proper and recognized channels.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Concerned Youths of Akuapem North Constituency Condemn Illegal Sale or Filling forms for money of National Apprenticeship Program Forms
We, the Concerned Youths of Akuapem North Constituency, are writing to bring to the attention of the general public and relevant authorities a disturbing trend that has emerged in our constituency. One Mr Godwin Azameti (Mputu) and certain individuals have been taking advantage of our fellow youths by filling application forms for the National Apprenticeship Program for a fee of GH50 at Okorase in the akuapem north constituency in the Eastern Region which has sparked a lot of controversies surrounding the Policy .
Our Concerns
This practice is not only illegal but also exploitative, targeting vulnerable youths who are eager to benefit from government initiatives. The National Youth Authority (NYA) has clearly stated that these forms are available free of charge, and we believe it is our collective responsibility to ensure that this opportunity is accessible to all eligible youths without any financial burden.
Our Demands
We call on the NYA and other relevant authorities to take immediate action to:
- Investigate and put a stop to these illegal activities
- Ensure that the application process is transparent, fair, and accessible to all
- Educate the public on how to access the forms legitimately and safely
We urge our fellow youths to be vigilant and report any attempts to sell or to fill forms in exchange for money to the authorities. Together, we can protect the interests of our community and ensure that government initiatives reach those they are intended to benefit.
Signed.
Concerned Youths of Akuapem North Constituency
