New Juaben North, Ghana —The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for New Juaben North, Hon. Samuel Adongo, has issued a stern warning to government workers occupying official bungalows, urging them to maintain cleanliness or risk eviction.
Speaking during a recent sanitation inspection exercise, Hon. Adongo expressed concern over the poor maintenance of some government bungalows and made it clear that the Assembly will no longer tolerate such negligence.

“The government has provided these bungalows for your use, not to come and clean them for you,” he stated. “If you cannot keep it tidy, it will be reassigned to someone more responsible.”
He indicated that from this month onward, strict enforcement measures will be taken against occupants who fail to keep their premises clean, including possible eviction.
In a related development, the MCE also addressed the issue of roadside encroachments by mechanics, vendors, and washing bay operators. He particularly singled out fitting shops that repair vehicles on public roads, warning that vehicles left on the roadside for such purposes will be seized, and offenders may face legal action.

“Those who operate washing bays and stalls along the roads must clear them immediately,” Hon. Adongo cautioned. “If you do not have a valid permit, go and get one. The Assembly will not allow the roads to be blocked or misused.”
He added that the task force will begin clearing all unauthorized structures ahead of the next sanitation day as part of efforts to restore order and cleanliness across the municipality.

The MCE emphasized the Assembly’s commitment to improving environmental sanitation and urban planning, urging all residents and business operators to cooperate fully to avoid sanctions.
