Gospel singer Selina Boateng has stated that she does not go to the gym to lose weight, but rather to be healthy and preserve her physique.
Selina spoke with Nii Noi on the Hitz Praise Zone about body-shaming insults that have dogged her for years. She claims she has become accustomed to them and sometimes even laughs at them.
“I have no intention of losing weight,” she stressed. “I just want to maintain my body and keep it in shape.”
Selina went on to say that because she thinks God made her beautifully, she is unmoved by trolls on social media.
The gospel singer has already addressed those who made fun of her girth after videos of her straining to stand up during a praise session went viral.
She claimed at the time that she wasn’t ashamed since she was more concerned with God than with what other people thought.
Alpha and Omega, which features Uncle Ato, Menku Meho, Medofo Pa, and Eda Papa, is one of Selina Boateng’s well-known hits. She is now regarded as one of Ghana’s most esteemed gospel singers thanks to her music.
