Oheneba Nana Asante Okorie has officially been enstooled as the Mawerehene of Suhum-Amanase in a colourful traditional ceremony held at the Amanase Chief’s Palace.
During the enstoolment rites, Nana Asante Okorie took the customary oath of allegiance, pledging his unwavering commitment to serve the people of Amanase with dedication, integrity, and humility.

The ceremony, attended by traditional authorities, community members, and well-wishers, marked a significant moment in the leadership structure of the area.
In his acceptance speech, Nana Asante Okorie emphasized his vision for the development of Amanase, particularly focusing on the empowerment of the youth.

Nana Asante Okorie pledged to work closely with investors and other stakeholders to drive economic growth and improve livelihoods within the community.
“I am committed to creating opportunities that will ensure sustainable employment for our young people,” he stated. “The future of Amanase lies in the hands of the youth, and it is our collective responsibility to guide and support them.”
He further assured the community of his readiness to identify key challenges facing the area and to pursue practical and lasting solutions. According to him, addressing issues such as unemployment and underdevelopment will remain a top priority throughout his tenure.
Nana Asante Okorie also used the occasion to advise the youth to refrain from drug abuse and other social vices, urging them instead to prepare themselves for leadership roles and contribute positively to the progress of the community.

Expressing his gratitude, he thanked Osaberima Etuobefom Asare Panin, Chief of Amanase, as well as the council of elders and traditional leaders, for the confidence reposed in him.
“I am deeply honoured by this responsibility and grateful for the trust you have placed in me. I will work tirelessly to justify this confidence and to serve the people of Amanase faithfully,” he said.
The enstoolment of Nana Asante Okorie is expected to usher in a renewed sense of purpose and development within the Amanase community.
