Residents of Choggu Yapalisi in the Sagnarigu Municipal have celebrated this year’s Fire Festival with a vibrant display of culture, unity, and tradition.
The annual celebration, known locally as Bugum Chugu, brought together chiefs, opinion leaders, youth, women, and visitors from across the metropolis to observe one of the most significant traditional festivals of the Dagbon Kingdom.
The festivities featured torch processions through the principal streets of the community, traditional drumming and dancing, cultural performances, and prayers for peace, prosperity, and a successful farming season.
