As part of efforts to strengthen institutional collaboration and enhance the regulation of imported chemicals, the DCEO/ Operations Prof. Michael Ayamga and some members of management from both the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) paid a working visit to the Customs Laboratory at Airport.
The meeting focused on improving coordination in chemical management, particularly the handling of seized chemicals at Ghana’s ports of entry.
Discussions also explored ways to strengthen regulatory oversight, facilitate information sharing, and enhance the enforcement of laws governing the importation and management of chemicals.
The engagement forms part of the EPA’s commitment to promoting environmentally sound chemical management and safeguarding public health and the environment.
