The Asuogyaman District Assembly is taking a significant step towards a greener and more sustainable future under the visionary leadership of the District Chief Executive, Hon. Godwin Bobobee.
As part of efforts to promote renewable energy, reduce dependence on conventional electricity, and improve energy efficiency within the Assembly, the District is introducing a solar power initiative to support its operations.
The initiative forms part of the Assembly’s broader commitment to adopting environmentally friendly solutions that can contribute to reducing energy costs while promoting sustainable development.
Preparations are underway for the system to be put into operation. Once completed, the project is expected to enhance the Assembly’s energy resilience and demonstrate the importance of renewable energy in local governance.
The move reflects Hon. Godwin Bobobee’s commitment to exploring innovative and sustainable approaches to development. Beyond the immediate benefits to the Assembly, the initiative is expected to serve as an example to communities, institutions and businesses within Asuogyaman on the potential of solar energy.
The transition to solar energy is also consistent with the growing need for institutions to embrace clean energy solutions as Ghana works towards a more sustainable and environmentally responsible future.
With this initiative, Asuogyaman District Assembly is steadily going green—one sustainable step at a time.
