Cases of COVID-19 have increased from 299 to 301 in the Eastern Region as Yilo Krobo record its first case.
The additional cases were reported by West Akim (1) and Yilo Krobo (1) and Management of cases and review of contacts is still ongoing in various districts, according to the Regional Health Directorate.
All cases are in good condition and responding to treatment, a report from the Health officials said.
The region received 4488 results from 5440 persons tested as of 17th June 2020.
Deaths recorded are six, Recoveries are 118 and Pending cases are 174.
Affected Districts are; Lower Manya Krobo – 83 cases with 70 Recoveries, New Juaben South – 46 cases with 8 Recoveries, Kwahu West – 45 cases with one recovery, Denkyembour – 18 cases with 11 recoveries, Akwapim North – 17 cases with seven recoveries, Asuogyaman – 13 cases with 12 recoveries, Birim Central – 13 cases with two recoveries.
The rest are; Fanteakwa North with six cases and all have been recovered, West Akim-seven cases with one recovery and Suhum-three cases with one recovery.
Other Districts with cases but no recovery includes; New Juaben South – 3, Achiase – 2, Kwaebibirim – 2, Upper Manya Krobo – 2, Nsawam Adoagyiri – 19, Akuapim South, Birim South, Yilo Krobo and Ayensuano have one each case.
