The Member of Parliament for Asene-Manso-Akroso Constituency (A.M.A), Honourable George Kwame Aboagye together with the District Assembly have awarded an educational scholarship to 186 students in the area.
The beneficiaries include; 100 students who have been sponsored to pursue programs in the vocational institutions, 26 students have been sponsored to read various programs in the tertiary institutions, all from the MP and the district assembly also sponsored 56 students with the help of the district assembly scholarship program.
The MP for the area, Hon. George Kwame Aboagye (Oluwa) instituted a scholarship foundation (ASENE AKROSO MANSO EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIAL INTERVENTION FUND- AAMESIF) which was launched on 03/03/2019.
The foundation sponsored 50 beneficiaries for the 2018/2019 academic year and
the students were admitted to the various tertiary and vocational training centers/institutions to pursue programs in mathematics, science, nursing, dressmaking, hospitality management, and others.
The MP, Hon. George Kwame Aboagye in his speech appeal to the students to study hard for the Benefit of their future, their families, the Constituency and the country as a whole.
The DCE for the area, Hon. Alex Incoom praised the Akuffo Addo led government, for decentralizing the Ghana scholarship secretariate.
He urged the gathering to take advantage of the government’s commitment to Education since Education today is the best way to change the fortunes of our immediate environment for the better.
