The body of a middle-aged man has been found dead at Brigade near Toll Booth in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
The body of the unidentified man was found tied to an electricity pole in the area Tuesday morning.
It is believed that he was lynched by his assailants over theft.
Speaking to Bryt FM News Correspondent Eric Owusu Amponsah, Assembly Member for the Galilea Electoral Area Stephen Gyabaku Adjorlolo said the deceased might have been lynched outside the community but the body was only brought to the scene by the perpetrators.
He said, there is insecurity in the area due to non-functioning street lights and police failure to patrol the area at night.
The Assembly Member has therefore however appealed to the Municipal Chief Executive for Ga South to help fix the street lights while urging the Police to cover the area during its night patrol.
