Head coach of Hearts of Oak Edward Nii Odoom has blamed his players for their defeat against Inter Allies at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Phobians lost narrowly to the Capelli boys in matchday three of the Ghana Premier League and the disappointed trainer did little to conceal his frustrations when he apportioned blames to his player’s for their defeat on Sunday.
Hearts of Oak played as visitors against the Eleven is to One at the Accra Sports stadium and despite dominating with chances created, found themselves losers courtesy a stupendous striker from Richmond Lamptey.
Speaking after the game he expressed disappointment with the result and promised to turn things around going forward.
“I am even short of words to say…because I don’t know why we should lose this match. Look at the number of chances created. From the blast of the whistle, we had all the chances in the world to kill this game,” he said.
“Our opponent didn’t play anything extraordinary, but one loose ball and we are done. We did everything we could, but the players didn’t help the club at all,” he concluded.
Hearts of Oak are without a win in two games with just a point to account for, although they have one outstanding fixture. They next play Karela United at home on Match Week 4.
