Parliamentary candidate on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for Tano South, Hanna Bissiw has requested for ballots to be recounted at the constituency.
The incumbent Member of Parliament, Benjamin Sekyere gathered 21,018 votes representing 54.6% while Hannah Bissiw also gathered 17,215 votes which also represented 44.7%.
However, Madam Bissiw, who is also a former MP for the area is demanding a recount, arguing that there is a discrepancy between her results and that of the certified EC results, thereby refusing to sign the certified results, thereby delaying the process.
