Techiman Eleven Wonders midfielder Salifu Ibrahim has reiterated a desire to play for the Black Stars.
The 20-year-old has been one of the league top performers in the ongoing season having won five Man of the Match awards after 8 matches.
Speaking to Sports Belt, he expressed readiness to don the national colours when given the opportunity by the technical handlers of the team and has indicated that he will not be surprised at all if he’s named in Coach CK Akonnor’s next call up.
According to him, he’s never earned a call up into any of our national teams so far but puffed out with so much confidence that he’s ever ready for a call up into the Black Stars at any time.
“Honestly, I have never gotten a call up into any of our national teams before but I’m ever ready to play for the Black Stars without any fear and panic.” He said.
“Looking at my performance so far, I won’t be surprised if I see my name in the next Black Stars calls up. All I have to do is to continue working hard”, he concluded.
The former Unistar Academy player is in contention for the Ghana Premier League Player of the Month prize for December.
