Ghana Premier League outfit Karela United have announced the signing of striker Maxwell Boakye ahead of the second transfer window.
The former Hearts of Oak forward signed a 2-year contract on a free transfer after ending his spell with Division One League side Bibiani Goldstars.
The Anyinase-based club has been outstanding since 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League commenced.
Occupying 1st position on the league table, they have strengthened their squad with the acquisition of the enterprising forward as they seek to maintain their form in the ongoing season.
Maxwell Boakye faces stiffer competition in the Karela team with the availability of top marksman Diawisie Taylor and Kwame Boateng.
In the truncated 2019/20 Division One season, he scored 10 goals after making 13 appearances.
