Residents of Gomoa Dasum in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region on Friday morning protested against the head teacher of Dasum D/A Basic School, Collins Akyem.
This was after the angry head teacher locked up classrooms of the school leaving school children stranded.
The residents aver that the head teacher has refused to distribute to the pupil’s pieces of nose masks, alcohol-based hand sanitizer, tissues, and other Covid-19 preventive items given by the government.
Additionally, they alleged that the head teacher attempted to sell school uniforms for Ghc70 to each parent which they kicked against since the uniforms are supposed to be given for free as directed by the government.
Out of anger, the head teacher allegedly locked up classrooms leaving the school children to wander around on Friday.
The youth stormed the premises of the school to protest against the decision of the head teacher.
Bryt FM News Central Regional Correspondent Eric Owusu Amponsah reported that the protestors accused the head teacher of misconduct and disrespect to parents and residents.
They have therefore issued a five-day ultimatum to Ghana Education Service to transfer the head teacher from the school or face the wrath of the community.
