Karela United’s new signing Maxwell Boakye believes his outfit stands a chance of winning the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League title.
The 27-year-old joined the Anyinase based club from Division One side Bibiani Gold Stars on a free transfer.
Karela United who are chasing the first league title in their history see the arrival of the creative midfielder as a boost to their chances of success.
The Anyinase based club has been outstanding in the ongoing season and is currently occupying sit 2nd position with 22 points after 13 matches.
However, the former Hearts of Oak and Bibiani Gold Stars top marksman believes his outfit is the clear favorite for the title and has promised to give his all to help them clinch the title.
Speaking to S. K Ntim of Bryt FM, he said, “I believe Karela United will win the league. I’m 100% sure because the team has got quality. People may argue about it but I believe my club is ready for something”
“The motivation in the team is high so I hope to do my best for the club to achieve our dream. I’m going to score more to make history with the club” he said.
He also expressed readiness to score more to help his outfit clinch the Ghana Premier League title for the first time in history.
“I must score goals so I am ready to do that. With the help of my players I believe I can achieve my target” he said.
